Rewind to the end of 2010...

A look back before moving forward. so the next couple of post will not consist of too much writing mainly pictures. I'm more of a visual person so I love taking pictures. in the past two years I've taken almost 200,000 pictures -_____-. anyhoo here goes.

San Francisco Giant's TICKER TAPE PARADE.

7am.. early beginning to a long day.
a station filled with orange and black. along with people heading to work.
the crowd of early birds hoping to get a good seat.
all the tshirt hustlers out and ready to sale sale sale!
making our way to city hall to find a spot for the end of the ticker tape parade award and city key ceremony.
the beautiful sculpture, that had to barricaded. later when the intoxication kicked in and the crowd got restless people began to climb trees, portable pottys, and this beautiful structure.
babe, liz, and kyle
the setup
already hella people at 8am
people everywhere! this was only around 9.
babe and his flag/cape.
this lady had the cutest poster and she was standing on her camping chair.
sitting and resting. we stayed waiting in this area from 8AM to about 3PM. we left because had evening class and a presentation that day @ 7pm -____- boy was i exhausted.
an ocean of black and orange.
more random pictures of the crowd.

beautiful little girl I had the pleasure of meeting. her family drove all the way from fresno that morning to see the Giants.
there she is again with her papa.
some of babe's friends, getting rowdy.
this guy cut the fence and climbed up the statue. he was than arrested.
forties in the morning, chugging contest.
little boys who climbed up the trees to get a better view, practically 1-2 people in each tree.
all of market street was closed down for the parade, sheer mayhem ensued with the large crowds.
a picture of kyle and liz on market.
babe and i.

well it turned out that there were way too many people, and the parade route took forever. it was impossible to see any of the players or any of the festivities from where we were located. the bf said he just wanted to see the ceremony, which in turn occurred when we left. so it was a complete fail, but still totally a beautiful day to celebrate with the city and the people that love our black and orange boys.

well that's one post down in catching up and 10-15 posts to go. hope you enjoy this for the time being.

smile!
-Shirley
